My View on Reading

I love reading, its one of my favourite things to do, after having a long hot bath with a sensational bath bomb from lush, I'll climb into bed with a HUGE mug of hot chocolate and read!
There are two main reasons why I think reading is so beneficial and good for the mind.
Firstly, I love the fact that you could be having the most rubbish day, and you start to read and a completely different world is created in your head where no one can get too, and for those few hours that you are reading all of your worries are gone and I think that is just magical.
Secondly, I just love the feeling of finishing a book? It's such a sense of accomplishment and you get to get your new shining next book and have the excitement of reading that!

Current Favourites

As I said I was going to be doing a lot more interesting posts, seeing as I have been lacking on the...blogging side of things, I thought I would do my current favourites! These are all things that I use day to day, and they make me very happy when I do.

Body Shop, Seaweed, Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator
This face scrub is just so amazing I cannot even begin to describe it, there are tiny little bits of sand in which, because I have sensitive skin, do not irritate it and cause me to break out a lot. It's quite reasonably priced (although this was a gift) and leaves my skin feeling silky soft.

Soap & Glory, Scrub Your Nose In It
This again, contains really fine granules meaning it does not effect sensitive skin. It has the most amazing smell of mint and leaves your skin feeling so fresh, this is a great addition to a pamper night in, and again is around £7.

Body Shop, Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion, SPF 15
I use this product religiously, at night in the morning, it will be going on my face! It is just the lightest, most nourishing moisturiser I've ever owned. It doesn't make your skin oily, in fact, it prevents a lot of oil, it makes a beautiful base for make up, and also smells just like the seaside, which is definitely an added bonus.

Soap & Glory, Sugar Crush Body Wash
Where do I even begin with this God sent of a product. The smell for starters is just incredible...its so light but powerful at the same time, and the stay is sensational, I'll be smelling of lime the whole day! Its very citrusy, so if that is not your kind of sent then maybe this product isn't the best for you, but I certainly do and it makes me very happy when I know I get to use this heavenly body wash. Finally, the lather is insane. Squirt a pee size amount, and you will be drowning in bubbles.

Soap & Glory, Super Cat Liquid Eyeliner
This eyeliner is most probably one of the best I have ever purchased. Its such easy aplication and the ink is such long lasting. it gives a sleek finish and is perfect if you're trying to achieve the famous 'cat flick'.

Soap & Glory, Thick & Fast Mascara
Its very rare that you find a product that actually does what it says on the tin, but this is extremely accurate. I love using this mascara when I'm late for something and just need to whip a bit of make up on. Eyelashes look defined and voluminous after use. I will obviously be repurchasing this little beauty.
Soap & Glory, Wonderbronze, Bronzing Powder
Although this product does not do exactly what I expected it certainly is fantastic, when I bought it I assumed it would be quite a heavy bronzer that you'd use under your cheek bone. HOWEVER, I was happily surprised that it was not what I had intended it to be, instead it I discovered that it is this beautiful, light array of pinks and browns and whites, which creates the perfect cheek highlight, blush AND bronze, that it can just be swiped on in a matter of seconds! Perfect for a gal on the go ;-).

Benefit, the PORE fessional
I LOVE THIS. more than anything, the price is a little daunting, but a small bit goes a long way. Its the best primer I've ever bought, and I honestly never leave the house without putting it on. One negative is that I find it does make my skin quite oily.

Blusher and Foundation Brush by H&M
This brush. Oh this brush. The blusher side is just so fluffy, and light and pretty. And the rose gold, its just such a beautiful thing. Also, it was such a great price! I definitely recommend buying this!

Body Shop, Tea Tree Blemish Gel
This is absolutely amazing if you have a spot that you just can't get rid of! The tea tree really gets to the core and removes the spot (I know gross), but its incredible. Its pretty pricey for the amount you get, but definitely worth it. All you do is dab it on and voilĂ !

Soap & Glory, heel Genius and Hand Food
These are my two favourite things to use at the moment, when I've just had a shower, the heel Genius, it smells amazing like peppermint, and really leaves your feet feeling silky smooth. The hand food as well, smells wonderful, I can't really explain it haha, but just trust me on this. I have a mini Hand Food, which is one of my hand bag must haves!

Yes to, Grapefruit Facial Wipes
Wow are these amazing. I don't usually like using face wipes, because most of the time they leave my skin feeling really stingy and sticky, but these are so refreshing and they smell so good, exactly like Grapefruit. They make you feel less guilty when you come in and just want to take your make up off quickly, and they don't make me break out at all. They area about £5 though, which is quite high end for face wipes, on the contrast they are definitely worth it.

Brown Suede Heels, From New Look
These are the shoes that I wore to prom, they are so high. BUT, crazily so comfy. They go with everything and they are just the nicest shoes ever! I'm really into big clunky shoes at the moment, and think they look fab!

Pastel Straws, Ikea
Tad of a weird one...BUT STRAWS! I love just putting these in Iced Coffee that I make, or water or whatever drink I'm drinkin'. I just think they're really cute and there is something about straws that we all love, lets admit it!
Its Kind Of A Funny Story, By Ned Vizzini
This book is about a boy who determined to succeed in life but the pressure becomes to much. I don't want to ruin it to much, but its so nicely written and I love the size of the font, the length of the chapters and the cover! I really recommend you get this, its a great holiday read.
So there it is, there are all my current favourites. I hope you enjoyed, and I've got loads of really cool posts coming, I'm thinking once a week?

Spain!!

A few weeks ago, I visited one of the nicest places I have honestly ever been...
I went to Spain | Malaga | Nerja, it was so lovely and beautiful and the company definitely suited the surroundings.  I went with one of my closest friends and her mum, I did think we would argue but turns out we got on EXTREMELY well which just made the holiday extra fabulous!

We didn't have the most...adventurous holiday, we just kind of lazed around on the beach, and some days walked up to the little town which was so amazing and just a traditional Spanish village. The beach was so beautiful but the sand was B O I L I N G, we definitely burned off all the ice cream whilst running for our lives across to our perfect spot!
The nice think about Nerja is that it isn't very touristy.. meaning you get a real feel for how Spanish people live, granted its not very different to English;) but its nice to see the different culture.

When we went, it was the start of San Juan, which is a huge bonfire festival to celebrate the start of summer...all I can say is that it clearly means something to them! The partying went on till about 4 in the morning, but we were very tired so we left around 1:(.. also I left my camera in the apartment as I didn't think much would happen (stupid thing really), but just imagine huge bonfires, hundreds of tents and a lot of fireworks all on a beautiful sunny beach in Spain. It was one of those places/events where everyone is just laughing, mingling and ...drinking!!...A LOT... it made me so happy, and even though we had no clue what any of the people were saying, the feel of involvement was so surreal that it made me slightly emotional!!

Birthday Shopping!

It's recently been my birthday, so me and my boyfriend decided to take a trip to the shopping centre near where I live! It was SOO fun, we left about 11am and it took just under an hour to get there. When we arrived we were starving so we went straight to the food level and had my favourite...WAGAMAMAS

I had this..which I believe is called a 'teriyaki chicken donburi'. Honestly this Is the best thing I've ever tasted, and if you ever take a trip I certainly recommend you give this a try.

This is my excitement on our journey too the shopping place...I don't know why but I've always found car journeys so exciting and I always go way OTT when packing...even if it's just a half hour drive!!

In the evening a few friends and family members came round and we had a lovely meal out in the garden. I find birthdays such an emotional time as it's just so lovely so see all the effort people put in for you and to have everyone you love in one place is just the BEST feeling! Makes me very grateful for my special ones.

Overall, it was one of the best days I've ever had.

I'm thinking of doing another blog post on the things I bought..thoughts?

Introduction to Fresh Daisies

So, I guess I'm not a classic beauty and fashion ‘blogger’, I don’t have a fancy camera or expensive designer clothes but I do love a good old chunk of writing that’s funny and relatable.  This is all my blog is about, getting inspiration by simple things that have a lot of potential...okay so that all sounds a bit fancy, but basically I love writing and just want to express some of my thoughts too people that could possibly be interested in it...it might be a total failure...maybe it won’t.
